When your emotions translate into cake....

There is nothing I love more then baking and decorationg cake. For other people and for myself. I just happen to be one of my biggest fans of the cake that I make. True story.

I consider myself to be a "purist" when it comes to cake. In my opinion (and my opinion is the only one that matters here) cake should conisist of chocolate and vanilla. Chocolate cake and frosting and vanilla cake and frosting. Maybe, on occasion, some jam. Thats it. Just straight up cake.

No moving parts, no wires, no rice cripy treats. Just cake that looks so irresistible that you just have to drag your finger through it to get a taste the delicious frosting.

I also think it is safe to say, that there is something purely magical that makes a birthday cake taste best.

Whenever I find myself going through a difficult time in life, there is nothing more theraputic for me then making a cake. All of the steps involved, making the cake batter, taking the golden soft baked cakes out of the oven, whipping up the frosting. All of these elements have true beauty to me.

Creating flowers out of frosting is one of the best things in my life. Flowers, I love them. Frosting, I love it. Flowers you can eat, pure bliss.

So here are my emotions translated through cake and frosting. The best part of all of this was eating my emotions rinsed down with a diet coke.

Judge me. I do.

Those are some fine looking emotions, if I do say so myself.
